The Poca Valley Bank is an
independent, community bank
founded beside the Pocatalico
River in Walton, WV in 1908.

Over a century strong from our inception in 1908, we are positioned to deliver a community banking model where we seek to build lasting relationships.

We opened our first branch office in 1987 in Clendenin, Kanawha County. In the 1990s, two more Kanawha County branches were built in Elkview (1990) and Sissonville (1997). Not long after the turn of the new century, our two Putnam County branches began operating a few months apart in Poca (2000) and Winfield (2001). Our second Roane County branch was opened in the Hays & Company Building in Spencer in 2005. In 2022, we opened our fourth branch in Kanawha County located in Kanawha City.
